This quarter I decided to read City of Bones as my independent reading blog. This book I chose to make shorter the wait for another book, called The Fate of Ten. And then, at home while reading it was when Cassandra Clare amazed me, got me hooked to the Mortal Instrument series, this romantic fiction amazing stories. The plot is set in the amazing city of New York, where Clary Fray lives. One day, she goes to Pandemonium, a clubs where she thinks she has become crazy. But, who wouldn't? After seeing a murder, and discovering that no one else could see it. She and her friend Simon adventure into the world of the shadowhunter Jace, just when her mother results kidnapped by a demon, the mortal enemy of shadowhunters. Clary and her new friends go into the adventures of the magic world to figure what happened and saving Clary's mother.
City of Bones, as I already said, is a very valuable book to read, as it mixes up different topics. The books is totally worth reading, with Cassandra Clare's description and her way to make you connect to the characters. With a love story and the mystery of Clary's mom being kidnapped the author keeps you in a cycle of cliffhangers and climaxes, making you feel good along reading the story. Aside from this, the author created a whole new fictitious reality that keeps you wanting to learn more about it every time. I would personally give and highly recommend this book to my friend Luis Mi, who went to Ecuador with his father. He and I used to read a lot together, and now it is my turn to tell him to read. I also fully recommend this book to people that like young adult fiction, as this book is one I highly recommend.
